Safety region South Holland South

DeSafety region South Holland South (ZHZ) is one of the 25 safety regions in the Netherlands. On behalf of 17 municipalities in the region, the Safety Region carries out various tasks in the areas of crisis management, disaster relief, fire service and medical assistance. The region consists of the municipalities in the Hoeksche Waard, the Drechtsteden, Alblasserwaard and Vijfheerenlanden.

The daily work of the Zuid-Holland Zuid Safety Region is a well-prepared fire brigade and disaster relief and crisis organization that are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Thanks to its expertise, the VRZHZ is therefore a safety advisor for the 17 municipalities and partners in the region. The VRZHZ does this with approximately 300 professional and over 800 voluntary fire brigade employees.
