MultiBel at SWZ

In the small residential housing sector, SWZ has many clients who cannot evacuate on their own and are subject to the strictest fire safety regulations. In 2005, SWZ was looking for a quick and reliable way to alert staff in the event of a fire.

Prior to the introduction of MultiBel, the emergency response officer officer had a kind of “wachtkastje”. A beeper system and “slow whoops” were used. In the event of an alarm, people would first go to reception and receive further instructions. In 2005, a connection was made between the fire alarm system and MultiBel in order to be able to send out alarms quickly. One of the advantages of this connection is that there is no telephone exchange, because if you dial out via a private exchange, there is a risk that the exchange will fail in the event of a fire (power failure).

MultiBel is easy to use, sends out alarms quickly and is very accessible. Internal measures are being taken to harmonise the (evacuation) plans and emergency response teams at the various sites. The (new) possibilities offered by MultiBel are being used more and more.

The lines to MultiBel are short. The helpdesk or the account manager helps when we call, but it also happens that a MultiBel employee sits at the table and gives advice. MultiBel is not a remote company, the people are involved and that makes it pleasant.
